Super Easy Twix Pound Cake

It couldn’t be easier too. You’ll start with a frozen pound cake that’s been thawed. Of course you can make your own pound cake, which would be just as awesome, but using a frozen one, just makes it that much easier. 🙂

Unwrap some some soft caramels and combine them with a little bit of evaporated milk over a double boiler.
I love using almond bark candy melts for this because it’s more of a candy bar topping, rather than a hard chocolate shell.

Ingredients

1 (16oz) Frozen Pound Cake, thawed (or homemade)
8oz. soft caramels (such as Kraft), unwrapped
2 tbsp evaporated milk
6oz. chocolate almond bark (found in the baking isle)

Instructions

Place the pound cake on a sheet of parchment paper.
Melt the caramel and evaporated milk in a double boiler, stirring until soft and smooth. Remove bowl from heat and let cool completely. Spread/pour the caramel over the pound cake, try to not let it drizzle over the sides. Chill in fridge for at least 10 to 15 minutes.
Melt the chocolate almond bark according to package instructions and spread over the top of the pound cake, spreading it on the sides as much as possible. Let the chocolate harden, slice and enjoy!
